Bump Update: 31 Weeks
Hey everyone and welcome to my 8th bump update. As promised, I will be doing a bump update every week from here on out (30 weeks and up).

Here I am at 31 weeks pregnant:
According the Babycenter, here is what happening during my 31st week of pregnancy:
This week, your baby measures over 16 inches long. She weighs about 3 1/3 pounds (about the size of a coconut) and is heading into a growth spurt. She can turn his head from side to side, and her arms, legs, and body are beginning to plump out as needed fat accumulates underneath his skin. She’s probably moving a lot, too, so you may have trouble sleeping because your baby’s kicks and somersaults keep you up. Take comfort: All this moving is a sign that your baby is active and healthy.
How am I feeling?:
THE FINAL COUNTDOWN
1. Too fast. Honestly everything is moving so fast. Some weeks go slow while others just fly by me.
2.Pregnancy Brain. Honestly ya’ll, I forget way too many things. Good thing I set reminders on my calendars and it helps me forget less. But I’m always letting things slip my mind.
3. Bump. My bump is getting HUGE! And I understand that cause of course, I am having a baby. But the comments that people/strangers tell me are sometimes very rude. I always try to laugh it off /shrug it off, but some of those comments just make me feel worse. I do my best not to let it get to me, but it seems like filters on people’s mouth is just gone. One lady at the grocery was like,” OMG! Your huge! TWINS?” And I’m like, “No. Just one.” Her eyes WIDEN and she says,” Well thats one big baby.”
4. OB Update: After that comment, I had a check up where the doctor did a sono. She is growing beautifully and weighing 3lb 2 oz. She is on track and everything is looking great.
5. Getting ready. Hospital Bag-CHECK. Diaper Bag-CHECK. Car Seat-CHECK! We are good to go!
6. Baby shower is also good to go! I can’t wait to gather with friends/family to celebrate the arrival of ur little girl.
That’s it! The days are getting closer and closer!
Seriously? People baffle me sometimes. I’ve never been pregnant, but I’ve been out in public with friends who were and it never ceases to amaze me what people say. For some reason being pregnant seems to invite people to be enormously inappropriate both with words and hands. Everyone one of my friends came across wanted to pet her belly. Um. No. Personal space people!
I think you look amazing Savy, so excited for you!
Thanks so much!
I can’t believe people are so rude. I think they feel that since you’re pregnant makes it all okay. But it’s still not okay and maybe I’d bust out a comment like “Thanks, it’s always nice to be told I’m fat” or something that would make them think about what they said. I personally think you look adorable! So glad things are going well for you!
It crazy things people say and Thank you!
I love when people are all know-it-all about the bump. There was one lady who swore by the way I was carrying that she could tell the baby’s gender. And she was never wrong, never ever, and blah blah blah. I just smiled and nodded because I knew she was wrong. And, as you’ve already experienced with your son, once you have the baby, people also want to tell you everything you’re doing wrong. I just smile and nod, smile and nod, then move along….

I know exactly what you mean.
YaY! Look at how great you look! Just remember people make rude comments because they are feeling bad about themselves. Oh and look at the smile on your boy! SO CUTE!
Thanks! And yes, Ben is super excited.
