Hello and welcome to the Tiger Lily Blog tour!Today I have an interview with lovely author Jodi Lynn Anderson! Why do you write for teens? Well, I always want to write about teens, so that is a big part of it. Also, I don’t think that, inside, I’ve changed that much since that age, so it’s not like I sit down and think “How do I get into the mind of a teen?” or “How do I write this for a teen audience?” I identify with that time of my life a lot, and it never stops being interesting to me.       Is there any part of the story that you found difficult to write? So many! Emotionally, writing Tik Tok’s story line was difficult – I definitely shed more than a few tears. Also, it was hard to write the ending – it came to me very quickly, but I hated to say goodbye....

Hello and welcome to The Lethal Book Tour featuring Creature! I have a wonderful interview with her.   Why do you write for teens?  I like to write Young Adult fiction because it’s a genre that focuses on the age where we learn the most. I feel that there’s a lot of room to teach lessons and morals that teenagers (and adults) can capture through fictional stories. I also like writing for teens because I’ve already lived through that phase and it was one of the best times in my life. How much research goes into what you write? A lot of research. For example, I can spend days or weeks researching a city to get a feel for what the setting of the book should feel like. I like to describe things in detail, such as the characters would see it to...

Today, I had the pleasure of interviewing author Jocelyn Davies author of A Beautiful Dark! 1) Can you share a little of your current work with us?             Yes! I’m currently writing book 2 in the A BEAUTIFUL DARK trilogy. It continues where book 1 left off, so people who are mad at me for that crazy cliffhanger ending will hopefully forgive me.  🙂             I’m also working on another YA novel that’s completely unrelated to the ABD trilogy… 2) I love that this book included great elements of biblical history. What kind of research did you do? Did you travel much?             The inspiration for this book came from a lot of different, random places.    I grew up immersed in a lot of Judeo-Christian bible stories and it definitely influenced the mythology...

Today we have Ms. Barbara Casey author of Cadence of Gypsies! Thanks so much for Ms. Casey being here today!! The Cadence of Gypsies by Barbara Casey What is your biggest obstacle you face when writing? I think, like all writers, I have an issue with time.  There just aren’t enough hours during the day to get as much writing done as I would like.  When did you know you wanted to write? I have always wanted to write.  As a kid in the third grade, I wrote poetry.  The next year I advanced to short stories.  When I became an adult, I was more interested in writing novels.  The first book I ever wrote was a middle-grade novel.  I gave myself a year to write it and find a publisher.  After eleven months I received my first publishing contract.  That was almost twenty...
