“After leaving Society to desperately seek The Rising, and each other, Cassia and Ky have found what they were looking for, but at the cost of losing each other yet again. Cassia is assigned undercover in Central city, Ky outside the borders, an airship pilot with Indie. Xander is a medic, with a secret. All too soon, everything shifts again.”

Super excited to finally read the conclusion of such a thrilling series, it totally fell flat for me!
Let me begin with what I did like. For one, the plot. Each chapter the reader dives into hidden memories of what the Rising has been doing for a long time. I liked that the bigger picture is easily pieced together by the reader with no confusion. Little by little the secrets that the society held so closely, come to light exposing every cruel thing that they had done. I like how nicely done the author allows everything to fall together.
The love interest. GRRR! Yes this is the part that bothered me the most. SPOILER ALERT—-> Sometime during the middle of the book there was a development between Ky and another a character named Indie. They had a thing and I did NOT like it.
Here is the convo between Ky and Indie. SPOILER ALERT—-> “Yes.” I say. Of course it is.” For a little while there is silence. “I think you kissed me back,” she says. “I did,” I say. I’m not sorry anymore. When Indie kissed me, I felt all her pain and want.”
Now a convo between Ky and Cassia ( his main love interest)  SPOILER ALERT—->
“You are,” I say. “Look how you fly. It’s like Indie.” His smile turns sad. “You must think of her when you fly.” I say, a little sharp pain cutting through me even thought I understand.”
And a few sentences below that.  SPOILER ALERT—->
“Yes.” Ky says. “But I all the time, I think of you.”
Ummm. NO! I’m sorry but, all I’m getting is you think about the girl your not sorry for kissing. Sooo not flying with me and I’m done with the book.
Other than the fact that it had a decent ending with Xander finding some peace. I’m extremely disappointed in the way the book ended.
Overall  it’s okay. Not what I expected but not what I wanted either.
I give it 3 BITES!
Happy Reading!

Well that’s truly disappointing. I’m not happy with Ky. Not even a little. After all they’ve been through? Grrrrr. I think I’ll pass on this one and just live with a different fantasy in my head:)
