Perfect for fans of Sarah Dessen, Jenny Han, and Susane Colasanti, Angie Stanton's swoon-worthy romance--about an ordinary girl and a young rock star--will keep readers on the edge of their seats . . . and leave them wanting more.

In an instant, Libby's life went from picture-perfect to a nightmare. After surviving a terrible car accident, Libby is abandoned by her father and left with her controlling aunt. A new town, a new school, no friends--Libby is utterly alone. But then she meets Peter.

The lead singer in a rock band with his brothers, Peter hates that his parents overly manage his life. Constantly surrounded by family, Peter just wants to get away. And when he meets Libby, he's finally found the one person who just wants to be with him, not the rock star.

But while Peter battles his family's growing interference in both his music and personal life, Libby struggles with her aunt, who turns nastier each day. And even though Libby and Peter desperately want to be together, their drastically different lives threaten to keep them apart forever.

I found this book to be exactly what I need. A Heartfelt romance that swept me away.

Plot: Two unlikely people from two different worlds meeting in a unlikely place. I adore how this plot flowed. There was quite a bit of foundation building, but it gave the story its essence. Since their past and who they are is what they are hiding, it helps to see every bit of information slowly lock in place.

Love: The reality of this one has got to be the best part. Fear played a big role in their lives and rightly so. I like that their fears weren’t based on nonsense drama but on real life issues. Their love might seem a bit rushed but life always get in their way. So it had plenty of time to sit and stew into something greater.

Ending: If you know me, then you know how much I love a good ending. This ending is selfless and very loving. Yes, its gushy but  so what! I adored it and will read it over and over again to smile my face off!

This is a sweet, sensational story of finding love and holding on to it. It rattles the readers hearts in every aspect. You feel invested in both characters feeling every bit of emotion. Rock and A Hard Place is an magical story that you want to experience. If you love romance, then this is for you.

I give it 5 BITES!

This sounds like the kind of experience I had with Wild Cards. Sometimes you’re just in the mood for a heartfelt romance even if it’s cheesy or with a “perfect” ending you know 🙂

I’m all for a gushy ending Savy! Sometimes I just want that really sweet story that ends with rainbows and kittens and just makes me happy. I could use a book like that right now for sure! I’ve been on dark book kick lately and I’m ready for something a bit happier:)

This sounds like a story I would enjoy. Not too angsty or dramatic with a sweet ending. Sounds great!

  4. The romance does sound perfect. Hm… need one of those about now. On the wishlist!

  5. This book sounds really good! I love Sarah Dessen, as you probably know, and Susane Colasanti is becoming another one of my favorite contemp authors. I think I would enjoy this and I’m like you and love a good ending, even if it is gushy! Great review, girl! Adding this to my TBR
