“The human race is all but extinct after a war with Partials–engineered organic beings identical to humans–has decimated the population. Reduced to only tens of thousands by RM, a weaponized virus to which only a fraction of humanity is immune, the survivors in North America have huddled together on Long Island while the Partials have mysteriously retreated. The threat of the Partials is still imminent, but, worse, no baby has been born immune to RM in more than a decade. Our time is running out.
Kira, a sixteen-year-old medic-in-training, is on the front lines of this battle, seeing RM ravage the community while mandatory pregnancy laws have pushed what’s left of humanity to the brink of civil war, and she’s not content to stand by and watch. But as she makes a desperate decision to save the last of her race, she will find that the survival of humans and Partials alike rests in her attempts to uncover the connections between them–connections that humanity has forgotten, or perhaps never even knew were there.”

Everyone needs to drop what they are doing and read this book! I fell in love with it from the very first page. Now, I am not a sci-fi person. I can read some stuff but most of the times I get bored with it. That is not the case with this book. From the introduction of Partials and what they are, I was hooked.

I mean really, who can’t see this happening. A world ravished with diseases, war, and famine. A world where the population is slowing dying and the need for children is crucial to our future. If you really think about it, it’s happening now. Mr. Wells creates such a unique and propelling story that you have no choice but to continue onward.

What really got me into this book is the great storyline. I loved the idea of an invasion, the threat to humanity, and most of all the exploration of answers. I loved the feeling of adrenaline rush when secrets where exposed, when they are on the run and when a love forms that no one thought would.

My verdict. Read. This. Book. I don’t know what else to say but read it. Partials is an creative and innovative fresh spin on the world fighting for survival. The emotional weight along with the amazing plot pacing, Partials is a must read!

I give it 5 BITES!

Happy Reading!

I’m reading this one now, but I’m having a hard time reading it just because the beginning seems kind of slow? I don’t know maybe it’s just me haha!

It is a bit slow, but that is where the story is building it’s self up to a really big explosion! Keep going!

  4. I am not a sci-fi person, either! I don’t usually read it because like you, I get bored. I’m glad to hear that was not the case with this book because I watched to book trailer and was instantly intrigued.

Sounds great! This doesn’t seem like my kind of book because like you I’m not a sci fi person. But a good story is a good story. I’ll definitely keep my eye out for this.
