“Beware of a kiss under the full moon. It will change your life forever.Celeste Parker is used to hearing scary stories about werewolves—Legend’s Run is famous for them. She’s used to everything in the small town until Brandon Maddox moves to Legend’s Run and Celeste finds herself immediately drawn to the handsome new student. But when, after an unnerving visit with a psychic, she encounters a pack of wolves and gorgeous, enigmatic Brandon, she must discover whether his transformation is more than legend or just a trick of the shadows in the moonlight.
Her best friends may never forgive her if she gives up her perfect boyfriend, Nash, for Brandon, who’s from the wrong side of town. But she can’t deny her attraction or the strong pull he has on her. Brandon may be Celeste’s hero, or he may be the most dangerous creature she could encounter in the woods of Legend’s Run.
Psychic predictions, generations-old secrets, a town divided, and the possibility of falling in love with a hot and heroic werewolf are the perfect formula for what happens . . . once in a full moon.”
I just love werewolf’s books. Especially the ones with great romance and some great drama. But this book left me with none of that. The book was written well but I felt like it left so much out.
There is a new kid at school and Celeste is falling for him. One minute she is in danger and the next he saves her bringing on something he never imagine. Celeste vows to help him and falls in love. Now with a curse hanging between them Celeste must find a way to help him.
This book was easy and fast to read. And it was also way too predictable. I wanted more action and much more romance between them. The crazy ex-boyfriend was nice touch. It kept me entertained and laughing. What a dork! The mysterious of the werewolves legend was one I did enjoy. I like seeing them do research and find the legend. One character I did enjoy was the old man at the nursing home. He was sweet and funny.
I give it 3 BITES!
Happy Reading!
Even so I’m still intrigued. You wrote enough in your review to keep me interested. Maybe a library borrow rather than a purchase though. Thanks 🙂
Your review sounds more interesting than the book itself:D… I mean I really wanted to read it when I saw its cover and read the summary, but now being halfway through Once in a Full Moon I am very disappointed and unfortunately can only give it 1-2/5 stars in my upcoming review
I had quite a bit of trouble with this one as well, it just felt like it was lacking a lot of depth I’ve found in other paranormal YA stories and as you said, was quite predictable. Still love werewolves though:)
If I didn’t have such a huge TBR pile I might be tempted to pick this one up… as it is, I might pass… thanks for the honest review!
That sounds pretty good. I would want to read about the old man who is sweet.
Oh no, too bad. I like what you said about the research (I love following characters as they uncover things), but the lack of originality puts me off a little. I’m still curious, but maybe I’ll wait a little while.
