He was the perfect assassin. No name. No past. No remorse. Perfect, that is, until he began to ask questions and challenge his orders. Now The Program is worried that their valuable soldier has become a liability.

And so Boy Nobody is given a new mission. A test of sorts. A chance to prove his loyalty.

His objective: Take out Eugene Moore, the owner of an extremist military training camp for teenagers. It sounds like a simple task, but a previous operative couldn't do it. He lost the mission and is presumed dead. Now Boy Nobody is confident he can finish the job. Quickly.

But when things go awry, Boy Nobody finds himself lost in a mission where nothing is as it seems: not The Program, his allegiances, nor the truth.

Mystery books seem to have some of the most exciting scenes sometimes. I feel that every book has some type of mystery aspect to them but the series seems to have it the most for me right now. Captivated by the first I was ready to go on a mission with I am the Mission.

Boy Nobody or as we learn his name to be is Zack is now waiting for his next mission from The Program things start to happen causing his loyalty with the program to be tested. He starts thinking and remembering. However, soon being given his new mission, Zach must find a way to earn his trust back by completing his mission but not getting to close where his views will be swayed to turn his back on the one thing that has taught him to do what he is best at…to kill.

Zach is the perfect assassin but we start seeing some humanity come out of him especially when he starts to think about his past mission and killing a person he fell for. He is living with the knowledge that his dad might still be alive and The Program is actually not as trusting as they appear to be. Zach teams up with his friend Howard and although Howard is not as big of a character in this novel the parts he appears in is important because he is where the book leaves off at. (I will stop there). Zach is growing stronger and stronger but there is still stuff he needs to learn and I fill that this will come with experience and him finding more stuff out about the secrets The Program does their best to hide.

There is so much action and creativity taken to write this novel. I am reading a mystery novel piece. I love this reminds me of the show I am currently watching and there are things in this novel that happen in this show and for a strange reason I start to think of what would the character do next and sometimes I find myself to be correct.

The ending was heart-breaking for me. The one thing Zach did not want to happen happened. Now he must do his best to correct his wrong. I am really excited to see where the next book goes from here. I cannot wait to find out. Allen Zadoff is a fantastic author that sure knows how to get a heart racing.

I give this book  5 bites!

I remember seeing all these great reviews of book 1 I really have to give it a try. Even more now knowing the sequel is also awesome! I love how unique and creative it all sounds, and I sounds like a memorable – though bittersweet maybe – ending!
