There’s something achingly familiar about Daniel Grigori.Mysterious and aloof, he captures Luce Price’s attention from the moment she sees him on her first day at the Sword & Cross boarding school in sultry Savannah, Georgia. He’s the one bright spot in a place where cell phones are forbidden, the other students are all screw-ups, and security cameras watch every move.Even though Daniel wants nothing to do with Luce–and goes out of his way to make that very clear–she can’t let it go. Drawn to him like a moth to a flame, she has to find out what Daniel is so desperate to keep secret . . . even if it kills her.
This book was absolutely-freaking-BRILLIANT! I loved this book.
We begin with Luce, a delinquent teen who goes to a reform school. She meets Daniel Grigori who seems oddly familiar to her. Daniel is completely rude and hostile towards her. He looks at her mean, talks to her rude. Luce baffled by this wants to know why he treats her so rudely.
Daniel is a fallen angel. A fallen angel cursed to live while his true love Luce is taken away. Just think, you fall in love, have a first kiss, say “I love you” then BAM! She’s gone. Just like that. Not to see her again for another seventeen years! Well Daniel has had enough. He is tired of going through pain of losing her.
This is not an action pack book. It has a lot more dialogue in the relationship between Daniel and Luce. I loved that part. Seeing them grow together in the relationship is the best. Also getting to hear about their past lives was neat too.
The book was darkenly dangerous from the beginning. It was well written and the plot… OMG! The plots that lead to the ending were, well…lets just say I didn’t see that one coming! I was hook on Daniel and Luce with their love story. Forget vampires! If you want to read a different kind of paranormal read this. Fallen is a dark, romantic, mysterious read.
Great Review!! I also loved this book – the sequel can’t come soon enough lol
I know!!! I want to read it already!
Sounds like a good spooky book.
My goodness! I have heard varied reviews about this one and am actually on my way to pick it up right now! LOL Your review puts me in good spirits 🙂 Thanks for stopping by my blog, I’m loving yours! 😀
Well, this is a very different take on the few reviews I’ve read for this book.
I’m still feeling apprehensive, and I think I can blame Patch (from hush, hush) for that. Plus, while I do enjoy stories with heavy dialogue, that usually doesn’t let me in to the characters as much.
I’m glad I read your reviews for these books. I’m still trying to decide if they are for me. I guess the only way I will know is if I give them a try. 😀
The cover’s author is Brazilian
So good!!
Loved this book, too!!
This series is one of my favorites! Loved it!
