Thanks to its unique combination of human and vampire residents, Morganville, Texas, is a small college town with big-time problems. When student Claire Danvers gets the chance to experience life on the outside, she takes it. But Morganville isn’t the only town with vampire trouble...
Claire never thought she’d leave Morganville, but when she gets accepted into the graduate program at MIT, she can’t pass up the opportunity. Saying good-bye to her friends is bittersweet, especially since things are still raw and unsettled between Claire and her boyfriend, Shane.
Her new life at MIT is scary and exciting, but Morganville is never really far from Claire’s mind. Enrolled in a special advanced study program with Professor Irene Anderson, a former Morganville native, Claire is able to work on her machine, which is designed to cancel the mental abilities of vampires.
But when she begins testing her machine on live subjects, things quickly spiral out of control, and Claire starts to wonder whether leaving Morganville was the last mistake she’ll ever make...
Taking a stroll down Morganville is no problem. Leaving Morganville is. I had a super fun time reading this book. I went in eyes wide open and experience everything Claire did, including watching her back every 5 seconds…
Plot: Since the beginning of this series no one has work harder then Claire. She proved herself in every way possible. So when Claire gets a chance to leave Morganville, I’m on board with her. I had hoped that things would go smoothly but like Morganville nothing ever is. Claire finds herself once again, fighting for her life. This plot drew me in and kept me there. The buildup to Claire leaving (made me cry), fights/love with Shane (made me cry) and angry, not to mention Claire is plain freaking awesome!
Love: Shane do I have to slap you upside the head? C’mon guy! Get yourself together. Look, I know you made a mistake in the last book and well whats done is done. You can’t take it back but you can fight for her. Stop being a stupid guy and FIGHT FOR HER! Claire, you better make him work for it.
Morganville: The ending is as much as a surprise to the reader as well as the characters. I thought once they cross the border to Morganville all will be the same in the Glass house. But no, nothing is ever easy in Morganville. Which brings me to my next point, it’s almost over….NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Fall Of Night is another excellent addition to the Morganville series. The momentum from Morganville is never lost even though Claire leaves for a while. A finely executed book leaving me hanging for more, Fall Of Night rocks!
I give it 5 BITES!
Happy Reading!
I am WAY behind on this series! I was reading them until about 5 books ago. Or something. But I was really enjoying the series so I really need to get caught up! I’m glad you loved this one so much!
I need to start this series! With everyone telling me to, I don’t know why I haven’t. So glad you loved this one.
There are 14 books in this series? WOW. This one sounds really good and you seem to love it. I’ll go try to get my hands on the first book in the series and maybe catch up with you one day!
Glad you loved this one! I hate it when a beloved series edges towards a close. 🙁
