From the world of Beautiful Creatures--the instant New York Times bestselling tale of love and magic.Ridley Duchannes is nobody's heroine. She's a Dark Caster, a Siren. She can make you do things. Anything. You can't trust her, or yourself when she's around. And she'll be the first to tell you to stay away--especially if you're going to do something as stupid as fall in love with her. Lucky for Ridley, her wannabe rocker boyfriend, Wesley
I love these two authors. They just know how to play with your emotions and leave you wanting more and thankfully they answered are wishes and have written a spin off to the Beautiful Creatures series. However, we are following a beloved siren as she realizes that even though she is not human she can still love and need help from the people she cares about.
This book was just magical. The characters were amazing, the chapters flowed, and everything fit together just like a puzzle. I was finding myself at the halfway point within a couple of hours and soon the end of the book was approaching.
We follow Ridley and Link as they move to New York, Link in search of joining a band and Ridley guiding towards Link to a band she is forced to complete three tasks of whatever choosing. Through this first installment we see different sides of Ridley from vulnerability to her running from the truth. I love her, I knew from the first moment I was introduced to her character, there was something about her that seemed to catch my interest and for me to want to keep an eye on her.
I am excited to see where the book leads to in the next installment. I am curious to see what dangers await Ridley and Link as they escape someone from the past. I am curious to see what comes next and I recommend those who loved Beautiful Creatures to dive into this series and fall in love with the world that Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl have so perfectly crafted.
Happy Reading!
