DARKSOULS Ana has always been the only one. Asunder. Apart. But after Templedark, when many residents of Heart were lost forever, some hold Ana responsible for the darksouls–and the newsouls who may be born in their place. SHADOWS Many are afraid of Ana’s presence, a constant reminder of unstoppable changes and the unknown. When sylph begin behaving differently toward her and people turn violent, Ana must learn to stand up not only for herself but for those who cannot stand up for themselves. LOVE Ana was told that nosouls can’t love. But newsouls? More than anything, she wants to live and love as an equal among the citizens of Heart, but even when Sam professes his deepest feelings, it seems impossible to overcome a lifetime of rejection. In this second book in the Incarnate trilogy, Ana discovers the truth about reincarnation and will have to find a way to embrace love and make her young life meaningful.
I cannot believe that it has been a whole year since I read the last book. I knew that once I got my hands on this book I needed to read it. Let me tell you OMG!!! Jodie Meadows really swept me off my feet by Chapter 7 literally.
We are left off with what happened last time in Incarnate, with the whole TempleDark incident. Ana, the Newsoul, is still getting hassled for what she is and now it’s even worse because people think she was in charge of the incident.
I am in love with Ana’s character. She has grown so much from the first book, she is more knowledgeable about things, but most of all she has a fighting spirit that doesn’t anyone stand in her way. We see old characters return and some play important parts in the novel. Secrets are revealed and betrayals are also shown in the novel.
What I also find in this novel to my liking is the romance. Sam and Ana are coming closer together but there is something holding Sam, from his five thousand years, back. This is where some secrets are revealed about past lives and there is some news that may prove shocking.
Overall Jodie Meadows creates another stunning and moving novel that will surely capture you and take you on a journey that will leave you only wanting more. Capturing you with her novel cover this book is one all should add to your TBR pile.
I give it 5 BITES!
