“She fell for him in a nighttime world. But the time for dreaming is past—and the here-and-now can be just as fragile their love…

When Theia Alderson first encountered a mysterious, handsome boy in her dreams, she never imagined how finding Haden Black—and falling in love—could change her life. To save Haden, Theia sacrificed everything. And the dangerous bargain she made could have lasting repercussions.

Now Theia has returned to Serendipity Falls, and she finds herself struggling with the same deadly hungers that have tortured Haden. When students at their high school fall prey to a mysterious illness, Theia can’t help but wonder if Haden’s control is slipping—and how much longer she’ll have a grip on her own.

And still the nightmare realm of Under won’t let them go. Someone from Haden’s past is determined to destroy Theia from the inside out, starting with those closest to her, forcing Theia to choose between family and friends and a love that may have been doomed from the start…”

Which of your characters would you most/least to invite to dinner, and why?
Well, I would never invite Mara to a potluck…can you imagine the dish she’d bring? *shudders* But, I would love to dine with Donny. She’s so irreverent and fresh to me.
If you weren’t writing, what would you want to be doing for a living?

Hmm. Is there another job I can do in my jammies? One that allows for me to Google strange things and call it research? Make up my own words, grammar be damned? Spend hours creating a playlist? Eat junk food for creativity purposes? If so, then that one.
What question are you never asked in interviews but wish you were?
Well, not this question. This one is hard.

Let’s see…how about, “Gwen, you are a huge Star Wars fan, and yet you refuse to accept Episodes I, II, or III. Why is that?” And my answer is: There is no Han Solo in those movies and I need more scoundrels in my life.
Which authors have been most influential to your own writing?
Joss Whedon, Charlotte Bronte, Nora Roberts, and Madeleine L’Engle. Hey, wouldn’t it be fun to sit at a dinner table with them?
What books do you look forward to reading in 2012?
VELVETEEN by Daniel Marks (I heard him read the first chapter and it’s awesome!) INCARNATE by Jodi Meadows, and BITTERSWEET by Sarah Ockler.
Thanks for having me!
Thank you for being here today!
Happy Reading!
