Review: Split Second

Pivot Point was a trip for me. I fell in love with the world, the characters, and overall the whole book. I was so excited when I got Split Second in my hands that I just could not wait to open it and dive into the world that I missed so much. Kasie West is a brilliant author that writes a brilliant masterpiece.

This book was a fast-paced read. I wanted to book to keep going and have something else happen, but sadly it ended. I liked how the chapters shifted between two characters point of views because I felt, we were able to see more of what was happening throughout the book.

Addie has an amazing power, which I feel I would want. Let us be honest, who wouldn’t want to have a power where you could manipulate time, and see two possible futures. For real! I feel that she goes through some decisions in the novel that show her being a mature lady. I loved how she stood up for the people she loved and made a decision that will change her life. Laila, on the other hand, is one crazy chick. LOL!!! She goes on an adventure to try to magnify the limits of her power to bring back memories. I feel that the relationship that her and Addie share are special and everyone will wish they had that same type of chemistry.

The romance in this book was slow at first but then speeds up. I like that, as strange as it sounds. I feel that when a relationship goes slow, we are able to see more of the cuteness the characters do that seem so cheesy but deep down inside we love it. Addie is my girl here in this book. I am glad she makes the decision she does because it is what she wants.

The ending was amazing. I wonder how it is going to be for Addie but I will let you read and see what I mean for yourself. Overall, Kasie West creates a spell binding sequel that brings this book to a 2014 favorite for me. Simply amazing.
