Michael Grant captured my heart with his Gone series. With his captivating story, I was highly anticipating his next series. I can tell you that after reading this book, I loved it just as much as I loved his first series. Compelling from the very start.

The story tells of this girl who must become the Messenger of Fear’s apprentice. Following him around and deciding different people’s fate, she must come to accept it or run away. But there is just one problem, she does not remember who she is.

The main character was so interesting and I do not want to tell you the name of the character, because I would want you to figure that out for yourself. I loved how every chapter, more and more secrets were revealed and more and more the main character was realizing who she was. The story was captivating and every page left me wanting nothing but more.

I am excited to see what Michael Grants comes up with in the sequel to the beginning of an amazing series. I highly implore all readers to check this book out because you will not be disappointed.

I give this book 5 bites!
