"Humans and androids crowd the raucous streets of New Beijing. A deadly plague ravages the population. From space, a ruthless lunar people watch, waiting to make their move. No one knows that Earth’s fate hinges on one girl. . . .
Cinder, a gifted mechanic, is a cyborg. She’s a second-class citizen with a mysterious past, reviled by her stepmother and blamed for her stepsister’s illness. But when her life becomes intertwined with the handsome Prince Kai’s, she suddenly finds herself at the center of an intergalactic struggle, and a forbidden attraction. Caught between duty and freedom, loyalty and betrayal, she must uncover secrets about her past in order to protect her world’s future."

How come I did not read this book sooner?!?!?! Someone should have shoved this book in my face demanding me to read it! Dude! So freaking awesome!
Another thing I love about book is retaling of classic stories. I love it when authors can add twist to make my mind reach outside of the box. And this book did just that! Taking me up to a very strong book high, I’m addicted! I loved that one, the plot is soooo fascinating. Once you enter to world of Cinder, you can’t help but follow her. I wanted to know her thoughts, see what she creates with her  hands, and of course, reach down into her mind pulling out her hidden memories.
The love interest in the book is sensational! I love how distant Cinder is at the beginning. Cinder is not stupid. She knows when something is up. And she catches on faster too. Cinder immediately takes control of her life once she knows how “valuable” she really is and does everything for everyone but herself. She doesn’t think she is worth much, yet she is…in every way. She is selfless and caring. She learns the hard way and bites her tongue. She is so strong!!
Cinder is an amazing story! Taken away from the first page, Cinder brings to life a whole new world before the readers eyes. It’s thrilling yet so addicting! So excited to read the next book, Cinder is flippin’ Awesome!!
I give it 5 BITES!
Happy Reading!

I know I loved this!!! Plus I kind of got a kick out of casually telling people “oh, I’m just reading a retelling of Cinderella… where Cinderella’s a cyborg.”

Right? And I only read this lately too so I feel the same–why did we wait so long? haha. I pretty much had the same reaction to it I think it was a brilliant book!

I’m so happy that you loved it as much as I did! I really like fairytales and I always admire authors who can give an original twist to it. I can’t wait for Scarlet.

Haha!! I felt the same way! I only read this a few months ago even though I bought it right when it came out. I loved it and wished I had read it sooner, though the wait for Scarlet isn’t so long now, so I suppose that’s a bonus to waiting! Fab review chick!!

YEAH!!! I loved this one so much too Savy! I’m a huge fan of fairytale retellings too, and I loved how this one was still recognizable but also so unique as well. I thought she did a brilliant job of wrapping a familiar story in completely new clothes and giving it a whole new look. Can’t wait to see what you think of Scarlet!

  7. I hope I am saying, “How come I didn’t read this sooner?!” when I get a chance to read it! My poor copy is just sitting there, calling my name. Hopefully I can read it in a few weeks. Great review! 🙂

  8. I didn’t love the romance but I didn’t hate it either. Still, I need that second book. I gotta know what happens! So glad you enjoyed this one!
