Fifteen-year-old Stacy questions the strange world of high school, love, her role in a harsh universe, and life, in Normalish. People tell you high school’s so great and wonderful, but they’re lying. It’s mostly horrible and full of disappointment. It sucks. Your best friend abandons you. The jerk you’re in love with pretends to be into you, and then the big dump. The boy you’ve really clicked with as a friend decides to go all crushy over you, so you break his heart just like yours was — smashed into little pieces. Your sister goes mental, and you get involved with a guy who’s even crazier than she is (who you know is a very bad idea, but you do it anyway). Math only adds another stink of failure to the whole thing. High school blows. Just ask freshman Stacy. She’d want you to know.
This book was a book I was expecting it to be different than what it turned out to be overall. Reading a book like it is a girls diary was a different twist on a book for me that I ended up enjoying.
With Stacy, when first meeting her, she is just like any normal girl. Every guy is her true love, and everything was important to her. However, to me she didn’t feel like she was the prettiest girl and I think what I liked most was she wasn’t as annoying as I thought she might be.
There were of course moments in the book that I held my breath and made me stop reading for a sec and those are the moments that caught my attention and it was great seeing how all the characters reacted and dealt with stuff throughout the book .
Ms. Lesh writing style is one of individuality that I don’t see in most writers and it good seeing something different. If your a reader who wants to read the life of a “normal girl” than I recommend Normalish.
I give it 4 bites!
I love journal entry/diary type books! I find it makes the book go by so quick and gives it a very unique flair. I’m so happy that you enjoyed it!
Glad that you enjoyed. I don’t usually do diary style, but it seems that you werent expecing from it either.
Happy reading,

I sometimes–okay, often–have trouble with books that are written with big chunks of diary format, so I’m not sure this one is for me. Glad you enjoyed, though! The pink cover really stands out.
This sounds so perfect for girls. I’m not always a fan of the diary style, but sometimes I really enjoy it. I think I could give this one a try.
I don’t know that I have heard of this one before, but it sounds pretty good and if the diary style worked for this one then that’s great! Sometimes I like it, sometimes I don’t.
I think that the diary thing sounds pretty cool. I am weird with stuff like that though. Sometimes I like it sometimes I don’t because it can make me feel a bit disconnected. It sounds like this was really great though. Awesome review!
