Rory Miller thought her life was over when a serial killer set his sights on her and forced her into witness protection. But a fresh start on Juniper Landing Island was exactly what she and her family needed. For the first time in years she and her sister hang out at the beach, gossip about boys, and party together. She's also made friends with a local clique--including a magnetic and mysterious boy named Tristan.
But Rory's world is about to change again. Picturesque Juniper Landing isn't what it seems. The truth about the swirling fog that rolls in each morning, the bridge that leads to nowhere, and those beautiful locals who seem to watch Rory's every move is more terrifying than being hunted by Steven Nell. And all Rory ever wanted was the truth. Even if it means learning that she can never go home again. From the best-selling author of the Private and Privilege series comes the second novel in a heart-stopping trilogy about a girl who must pick up the pieces after the only life she's ever known ends.

With the ending of the last book, I knew I had to read this one. Not only is this book good, but it too also brought forth an unforgettable ending.

Plot: Rory finds out exactly where she is and what she is to become. She begins to gain lots of knowledge and secrets that she must keep from her family. Throughout this story, it builds up nicely little by little with bit of drama and past history. Certain people’s motives become clear and others leave you unsure.  This plot is full of entertainment and lots of questions.

Love: This love interest is very complicated and carries lots of baggage. Little bits of  Tristan’s past comes to light and it definitely left me intrigued as to what exactly is he hiding. Let just say that the ending brings an uncanny revelation that leave me jaw-dropped and heart broken. Tristan has a lot of explaining to do.

Ending: The build up to the ending is the icing on the cake. When everything fell nicely together before the readers eyes and it click…BAM! Major OMG! I’m anxious for the next book cause I don’t want to believe that that is true! It can’t be. But if  it is, well they had me fooled.

Hereafter is an excellent addition that leaves you jaw-dropped. It is instantly captivating  and excels in the plot Beautifully crafted into an amazing story, Hereafter is awesome!

I give it 5 BITES!

I liked this one too… and now CAN NOT wait for the 3rd book!! These cliffhangers are killing me! But at least this one didn’t totally catch me off guard like Shadowlands did 🙂
