For the rest of the world, the movies are entertainment. For Justine, they're real life.

The premise was simple: five kids, just living their lives. There'd be a new movie about them every five years, starting in kindergarten. But no one could have predicted what the cameras would capture. And no one could have predicted that Justine would be the star.

Now sixteen, Justine doesn't feel like a star anymore. In fact, when she hears the crew has gotten the green light to film Five at Sixteen, all she feels is dread. The kids who shared the same table in kindergarten have become teenagers who hardly know one another. And Justine, who was so funny and edgy in the first two movies, feels like a disappointment.

But these teens have a bond that goes deeper than what's on film. They've all shared the painful details of their lives with countless viewers. They all know how it feels to have fans as well as friends. So when this latest movie gives them the chance to reunite, Justine and her costars are going to take it. Because sometimes, the only way to see yourself is through someone else's eyes.

Smart, fresh, and frequently funny, You Look Different in Real Life is a piercing novel about life in an age where the lines between what's personal and what's public aren't always clear.

Have you ever met someone famous? Well I have. I met a person from a REAL WORLD season and ask them,” Hey, aren’t you…” I didn’t even get a chance to finish my question before this girl began rolling her eyes and muttering how she can never go no where without being asked that questioned. In all fairness, I was asking cause I wasn’t sure. And she didn’t have to be so rude about it. After that, I change my outlook on famous people. Not all are nice or even come close as they are made out to be.

Plot: I really loved the idea of the story. A documentary of kids being followed as they grow up. Their all different and they grow up. gearing up to their next filming, I began to wonder what would happen. Some were reluctant to even being film, other had secrets that they wanted kept quiet and other were just fighting a hard past. If anything, I loved how to story unfolded, letting the reader see each story clearly and powerfully.

Characters: Meeting and knowing people in real life is different from what you see on tv. Producers pick certain scenes, attitudes of characters traits to show so that the film makes it. Each characters has something to bring to the table. The reader gets a pretty clear vision of every character as soon as a certain someone gets behind the camera. And let me tell you that this characters blooms. She knows exactly how to capture the right moment at the right time.

Love: This was a pretty unexpected element. I honestly didn’t think that anything would develop being that there was so much going on between them as it is. Still, it’s a nice element that I felt gave the story some hope after all the drama went down.

Anchored beautifully in the real world and on tv, You Look Different In Real Life has much to offer. Exhibiting life long friendships and overcoming fears, Castle gives the reader a real adventure. With raw material happening before your eyes, You Look Different In Real Life captures.

I give it 4 BITES!

Well that was quite the unpleasant run in with a famous person wasn’t it Savy! I’ve met a few myself when I lived in LA for a semester at school and had pretty pleasant experiences with them, but there are some horror stories out there for sure! I’m really excited for this one though, it sounds fabulous:):)

Yeah the romance was unexpected, I would have liked more build up and hints about it. But I enjoyed this one too.

I’ve met quite a few famous people, I grew up in Sturgis SD, home of the motorcycle rally, and lots of famous people go. Some are great and others are extremely rude. I met John Elway and he was a jerkwad (it was like 15+ years ago). But there are a few actors that would come each year and hang out with us. Me and my friend Stephanie actually got to be friends with a couple that we kept in touch with through letters. They weren’t SUPER famous, but famous enough to have a familiar face. Unfortunately their lives went a bit downhill as they got into drugs and we lost contact.

  3. I don’t really care for “reality” tv, but this book may surprise me. You do make it sound fab.

I had the audio of this and just couldn’t get into it. It sucks that you had a bad experience with meeting someone from TV. I met Robert Downey Jr. and he was super nice and friendly. Anyways, the premise of this book sounded good, but I just wasn’t into.
