If fate sent you an email, would you answer?

When teenage movie star Graham Larkin accidentally sends small town girl Ellie O'Neill an email about his pet pig, the two seventeen-year-olds strike up a witty and unforgettable correspondence, discussing everything under the sun, except for their names or backgrounds.

Then Graham finds out that Ellie's Maine hometown is the perfect location for his latest film, and he decides to take their relationship from online to in-person. But can a star as famous as Graham really start a relationship with an ordinary girl like Ellie? And why does Ellie want to avoid the media's spotlight at all costs?

What does happy look like to you? Ice cream cones on a hot summer day? A walk on the beach? Fun times at a bbq? Every one has their own happiness. In this story, it explores what happiness means to you.

Plot. I love that this plot moved nicely, carrying the reader along for a nice read. It brings the reader on a journey of self-discovery of what happy really is. So many people mistake for what brings happiness. Money, women, etc. But really happiness is something deeper. I loved that this story goes deep. It takes love and happiness to a whole new level of understanding.

Love. Sparking or rather uniting two different people from both side of tracks works. At first, its a mystery and the excitement of writing to someone unknown fills the reader. Then they meet and things began to come together. To watch their love unfold with sweetness and hardships, defines both characters. They have to search within themselves as to what does happy look like.

Drama. The author does a great job in creating drama unfold from the past. Holding a secrets, especially one that is yours is hard to expose. Because of the authors great job in telling the story, I really felt like I was in Ellie’s shoes. Just longing for freedom of what if.

What does happiness look like to me? The way I see it, its what you make of it. A sensational story from start to finish, This Is What Happy Looks Like is awesome.

I give it 4 BITES!

YAY! I loved this one too Savy! I have a thing for this setup – famous boy (movie star/rock star/prince, whatever) falls for normal, small town girl:) Loved their emails in the beginning too, so darn cute. Definitely looking forward to more from Jennifer! Lovely review.

I was a little disappointed with this one. It was sweet but I guess I expected more.

Love the new blog design 🙂 and your little BWB/fang logo.

  3. I loved this book. I agree that it gets surprisingly deep. It wasn’t quite as good as Statistical Probability but I still loved it.

  4. I just love the title so I’ve been curious about this one. I do like the sound of it and so I think I need to put this on my wishlist!

I liked this one, but not as much as the author’s other books. It is a great summer read, though!

  6. This sounds like such a good book! I really like what seems like a simple topic being delved into deeper, making the reader think about their own circumstances. I’ll have to add this to my TBR list. Thanks for the review!
