“In a world of love bonds, rituals, dark magic, ancient enemies and immortals, nothing is as it seems and no one can be trusted.

Seventeen-year-old Amber enters the paranormal world by chance when her brother, Dallas, sets her up with a summer job in Scotland. Dallas has spied something in the woods he thinks could make them rich beyond their wildest dreams. But instead of finding riches, Amber unknowingly enters a paranormal race—and promptly wins the first prize—a prize for which many would kill. Soon, she discovers her new boss, Aidan, didn’t employ her for her astounding housekeeping skills and he isn’t who he claims to be either.

As the dark forces slowly conspire against Amber, her naivety and love for Aidan catapults her into a calamitous series of otherworldly events. With every immortal creature hunting for her, whom can she trust with her life?”

Once I started this book I knew I love it. The feel of the story progressing, the way it began hooked me fast. I really got into the storyline. I enjoyed it because it is so different then what I have read before.
What I like most about this book is the story line. I loved that it was a girl getting hired for a job and not knowing what she is getting herself into. I loved the main character Amber. Her fieriness to get where she needed to be, I adored. I liked her loyalty to her brother and her family. Ms. Scott did a great job in capturing the reader and holding them there. Her writing is easy to follow and has great emphasis in her characters as well as places. I also really loved that the story line is filled with a game that has been played for centuries!
The characters that Ms. Scott created are amazing.I loved that they character are flawed and learn along with the reader. The characters have great back round history that allows the reader to understand them more. I loved that Ms.Scott didn’t confuse the reader with the point of view switches. All transitions from the characters were done smoothly. I did however love how each point of view is very different. Each character has there own unique essence.
The love interest I liked. I loved that the characters love for each other is deeply rooted. I would have love to see more of them spending time together, etc, but I do like that they learn a lot from each other. They compliment each other well.
This is a great book that I recommend you read. Totally different and unique, Job From Hell is a book that will have you hooked from the very first page! It is filled with ancient creatures, a game played for over centuries, and feisty characters that leave you wanting more!
I give it 4 BITES!

Happy Reading!

Sounds interesting. I love when authors do a good job with characters – getting enough background to be relatable and also making them flawed enough to be realistic.

  7. Oh the family, the character strength and the romance sound so good in this one. You have me wanting so many! I so need the time to read these all. I don’t know how you do it (yes, I know you told us, but still… whoa!).
