Alright, so this book was one of my most anticipated reads. I absolutely loved the first book so this one I had high hopes for. Plot: So for me, the plot didn’t move as quickly as I like it to be. Yes, many changes happened but I felt like the story was generally going in the same direction as the first book. I was hoping for a bit more when it comes to development of the story but its turned out okay after the first few chapters. Love: The love interested definitely got interesting. I could see it starting the change and I wondered who she would pick. Ending: So the ending! The ending left me excited to read the next book. I can’t wait to see how it all ends. I’m sure things will turn around, more secrets will unfold and the ending is going to...

What grabbed my attention the most about this story , was the title. I mean c’mon. You read the title and you think ,” Huh, this looks interesting.” And let me tell my friends, it is. Plot: This story is about a girl who wakes up to find out she is dead…at the mall. LOL, yup. From there it moves on to afterlife stuff and mostly Sarah trying to grasp what exactly happen to her. I love that the plot involves lots of humor mixed in with the sad stuff. Being dead is not easy feat for Sarah. She has to go back to her past and learn why she is stuck. Thea adventure in following Sarah uncover her life from her past to her demise, holds the reader firmly in her seat. Life/Love: Throughout Sarah’s life she has faced many trials. She too knows...

Hey everyone!! So some of you might be wondering where I’ve been lately. Well, life has gotten pretty busy with the new baby and all. But I think its time for me to come back. Let’s start from the beginning. Well I had a baby and life got hectic. After six weeks off, I went back to work. I did my best to read while I had time but to be honest, trying to juggle baby, work, family, etc, just really got me tired. So I decided to take break. Just hang back and enjoy the first year. Now, my daughter is almost one. Can you believe that? She will be one in May. She is standing up all by herself, feeding herself and loving life. But now, I want my life back. And by that I mean, I need my hobby. I found myself reading again (once she started to sleep...

Hello everyone! Before I get started on this review, I like to apologize for my absence. I’m doing my best to juggle everything in my life right now so bear with me as I figure this out. – Savy. Alright, when I got this book in the mail I knew it be one I would read for sure. Wendy Higgins is a name that if I see it, I want to know what book it is. So far, I have read all of her published work and man it is awesome. One of my favorite things authors do is re-telling of a classic. I love classic Brother Grimm stories so I knew this is something that I am interested in. Plot: You should know that this is a inspired work of The Brother Grimm story, “The Singing Bone.” I love what Ms. Higgins has done with the story. Not only is it thrilling,...

I’m so excited that this is my first review for 2016 cause ya’ll, this book is amazing! If you read as much as I do, then you know that I have read lots of time-travel stories. Now, as much as I like them, they tend to be repetitive. The person finds a trinket or some sort of magical item to time-travel, etc. This story has new elements to it that make it unique. Plot: This is about a girl who has a heritage to time-traveling. There are very powerful families with long ties powerful artifacts. I love the idea of the plot. The way the storyline play out kept me locked in the story. I felt the the different eras in time as well as the emotions. Time-Travel: The thing with time-travel is that in order to feel like you are there, you need to be able to...
