Alyssa Gardner has been down the rabbit hole and faced the bandersnatch. She saved the life of Jeb, the guy she loves, and escaped the machinations of the disturbingly seductive Morpheus and the vindictive Queen Red. Now all she has to do is graduate high school and make it through prom so she can attend the prestigious art school in London she's always dreamed of.

That would be easier without her mother, freshly released from an asylum, acting overly protective and suspicious. And it would be much simpler if the mysterious Morpheus didn’t show up for school one day to tempt her with another dangerous quest in the dark, challenging Wonderland—where she (partly) belongs.

As prom and graduation creep closer, Alyssa juggles Morpheus’s unsettling presence in her real world with trying to tell Jeb the truth about a past he’s forgotten. Glimpses of Wonderland start to bleed through her art and into her world in very disturbing ways, and Morpheus warns that Queen Red won’t be far behind.

If Alyssa stays in the human realm, she could endanger Jeb, her parents, and everyone she loves. But if she steps through the rabbit hole again, she'll face a deadly battle that could cost more than just her head.

This is such a fantastic read that I simply could not put it down.

Plot: This book picks up where the last one left off. Alyssa is trying to get back to a normal life but we all know that once you go down that rabbit hole there is no way back. The plot moves a swift speed with plenty of action and much drama. By far, this is one of the best best books I read this year. The world that the author so carefully built is so intriguing that I can’t help myself. I must read it again!

Love: This area has grown soooo much and has much to learn. All characters grow with each trial but also learn to fight dirty. They know this fight is not only for them but for the people they love.

Fighting Dirty: One thing I really enjoyed is the quit-witted Alyssa and her snarky ways to trick people. Of course in Wonderland nothing is the same and you must be smart. Another great aspect is the mother. Yup. The mother is a great character and I loved learning her back story. Believe me when I say you won’t be bored reading this book.

A fantastic addition, I’m so excited that I got a chance to read this story. Unleashing a fierce yet captivating adventure, Unhinged is amazing. From the characters to the plot Unhinged draws forth a world you never imagine.

I give it 5 BITES!

Great review! I didn’t love book 1 but I have been seeing a lot of great reviews for this sequel so it’s making me curious. I do like how snarky and clever Alyssa seems to be!

  3. So glad you loved this! I’ll admit that the cover initially really put me off. I’m just not a fan of it. BUT, the story line is intriguing and if you loved it, I know I’ll have to give it a shot!

  4. I enjoyed this one as well. I think I liked this one a bit better with the exception of the ending. Darn ciffies! 🙂 Can’t wait for the next book!
