“Aria is a teenager in the enclosed city of Reverie. Like all Dwellers, she spends her time with friends in virtual environments, called Realms, accessed through an eyepiece called a Smarteye. Aria enjoys the Realms and the easy life in Reverie. When she is forced out of the pod for a crime she did not commit, she believes her death is imminent. The outside world is known as The Death Shop, with danger in every direction.

As an Outsider, Perry has always known hunger, vicious predators, and violent energy storms from the swirling electrified atmosphere called the Aether. A bit of an outcast even among his hunting tribe, Perry withstands these daily tests with his exceptional abilities, as he is gifted with powerful senses that enable him to scent danger, food and even human emotions.

They come together reluctantly, for Aria must depend on Perry, whom she considers a barbarian, to help her get back to Reverie, while Perry needs Aria to help unravel the mystery of his beloved nephew’s abduction by the Dwellers. Together they embark on a journey challenged as much by their prejudices as by encounters with cannibals and wolves. But to their surprise, Aria and Perry forge an unlikely love – one that will forever change the fate of all who live UNDER THE NEVER SKY.”

I adored the world created by Ms. Rossi! Once I began reading this book, I left my world and fell into the world of  cyberspace! I generally loved the idea of this book. It intrigued me and held me to read each page with a faster pace.
The idea of a conspiracy theory combined with The Death Shop really held to this book. The whole aspect of realms and Smarteye, captured the reader from the start. I found it exciting that their are two different worlds separated from each other. I also enjoyed how it is not at all as it seems. You may think that people are happy but there not. Aria knows that she stumbled upon something that she isn’t supposed to know. Ms. Rossi’s ability to create a story that all readers can enjoy is amazing.

I enjoyed how the readers got to be in both Aria and Perry’s shoes. The point of view switches weren’t confusing but enhance your reading experience even more in this book. All I know is that once I got the answers I was seeking from one character, I was desperate to get into the other characters mind to seek more  there.

There were a few surprised that took me by surprise. The emerging of powers/senses as well as the love interest really gave me something smile about. Just when I knew I thought what will happen, Ms. Rossi twist and turns made me smile even larger!

Ms. Rossi created a uniquely and fresh dystopian book will blow your mind away! It is captivating from the very first page! With the great build up of characters and plotting, this is a book you want to read!

I give it 4 BITES!

Happy Reading!

I loved the idea of the smart eye too. I didn’t enjoy this as much though it was more sci-fi than I expected.

When I first read the synopsis to this book I wasn’t sure I wanted to read it because it sounds so similar to other dystopian books. After reading some of the reviews, I think I might give it a chance. People seem to be liking it. Thanks for your input!
