The second book in the New York Times bestselling Maze Runner series—The Scorch Trials is a modern classic for fans of The Hunger Games andDivergent.

Solving the Maze was supposed to be the end. No more puzzles. No more variables. And no more running. Thomas was sure that escape meant he and the Gladers would get their lives back. But no one really knew what sort of life they were going back to.

In the Maze, life was easy. They had food, and shelter, and safety . . . until Teresa triggered the end. In the world outside the Maze, however, the end was triggered long ago.

Burned by sun flares and baked by a new, brutal climate, the earth is a wasteland. Government has disintegrated—and with it, order—and now Cranks, people covered in festering wounds and driven to murderous insanity by the infectious disease known as the Flare, roam the crumbling cities hunting for their next victim . . . and meal.

The Gladers are far from finished with running. Instead of freedom, they find themselves faced with another trial. They must cross the Scorch, the most burned-out section of the world, and arrive at a safe haven in two weeks. And WICKED has made sure to adjust the variables and stack the odds against them.

Thomas can only wonder—does he hold the secret of freedom somewhere in his mind? Or will he forever be at the mercy of WICKED?

After having this book sit on my shelf for a while, I finally got around to reading it.

Plot: This plot pretty much follows the first book but instead they are on the outside. There are many plot twist or shall I say games being played among all the characters. They are tested to the brink, where even I began to think that there is no way that they can make it. This sequel brings much excitement to the reader with plenty of action.

Love/Friendship: I’m a little sadden about this situation. Though I would say more, I’m hoping it can be all cleared up.

Games: This games that are being played are not only deadly but they break people. I don’t think I could ever last in that situation. Just be prepared to read one hell of a roller-coaster ride!!

The Scorch Trials is a unique story that fully em bodes action and plot. It is different with much events and entertainment to hold you to the end. The Scorch Trials is great.

I give it 4 BITES!

  1. This is becoming a series of movies, right? I haven’t read the first one but it sounds pretty interesting.

This book was almost too much for me. So intense I thought I was going to die! It was almost hard to finish. I never picked up the third. It’s just so hard to read something SO intense. I do want to know how it turns out though.
