In this timeless new trilogy about love and sacrifice, a princess must find her place in a reborn world.

In a society steeped in tradition, Princess Lia’s life follows a preordained course. As First Daughter, she is expected to have the revered gift of sight—but she doesn’t—and she knows her parents are perpetrating a sham when they arrange her marriage to secure an alliance with a neighboring kingdom—to a prince she has never met.

On the morning of her wedding, Lia flees to a distant village. She settles into a new life, hopeful when two mysterious and handsome strangers arrive—and unaware that one is the jilted prince and the other an assassin sent to kill her. Deception abounds, and Lia finds herself on the brink of unlocking perilous secrets—even as she finds herself falling in love.

What a refreshing feeling to read a book that you will zoom right through. However, that might be bad too because you want more than. Mary E. Pearson writes a tale that will instantly capture your heart.

I am constantly falling in love with authors who are able to write from multiple perspectives. I always say that it takes great talent and time to make sure that all the chapters flow and connect. Pearson was successful. The chapters flowed, the story was captivating, the romance uplifting, and I was sad for the book to end.

The story follows three points of views. The only character you know the identity of is Princess Lia. The other two you do not know of. The adventure is worth the read. All one needs to know is one person wants her dead, the other wants an answer.

The author is keen and creative in the way she writes the chapters for her male characters. I had no clue who was who until the end. I was wondering how the romance was going to play out and the author surprised me here as well. For me the author gave me a lot of surprises.

Overall this book was such an awesome read. I am not sure how long I can wait for the next book. It sucks that this book is not even out yet. I am looking forward to what Pearson comes up with next in this spellbinding series.

I give this book 5 bites!

YAY CHAYSE!!!!! I so loved this book too! I just thought it was amazing, and I loved not knowing the identity of either guy until later. I had my guesses, but it was fun to be unsure. I need book two asap!
