“Since age five, Topher James has lived beside the “Black Bridge,” an old iron railroad bridge with a history of unexplained disappearances. Topher’s psychic abilities tell him that something dark lurks around the bridge, but as long as it doesn’t bother him, he’s unwilling to do anything. When Topher’s girlfriend Linnette begins talking about sharing power with the dark presence at the bridge, Topher realizes that both the presence and Linnette are dangerous. Topher realizes he must do something to stop them. But it’s too late! His best friend, Luke, dies, leaving his sister Callie in danger. Topher and Callie are plunged into the universal war between darkness and light as they attempt to protect themselves and their friends. But can they win…and at what price?”

One thing I enjoyed this book is the mysterious of the black bridge. I like it when a character is drawn to a dark place where  bad things happen. It makes you wonder, whats is going on? Ms. Ramsey did a great job in creating the dark that hides there. I was entertain with the bridge  and wanted to know more.
The characters of this book were good. Linnette, I immediately hated but found myself as the reader drawn to her cause I wanted to know what she saw at the black bridge to capture her. The reader is caught between the darkness of the bridge and the meaness of Linnette. Sometimes I just wanted to slap her!
The love interest in this book is good but I wanted more of them getting to know each other instead of just falling for one another. Callie, I loved her voice. Fresh and new Callie is one character that really caught my eye. I like her attitude and the light about her. Her loyalty to her brother and family is sweet.
This book is a fast paced read and enjoyable. I found myself done with it and was not confused at all. Point of view switches were done smoothly and the story progress fast. My only gripe is I wanted more showing rather then telling. Still the book is something different and unique to read!
I give it 4 BITES!
Happy Reading!

Sounds like an interesting concept. A reverse triangle – one boy and two girls. Nice change.

I have to say I find the black bridge intriguing and definitely want to know more about it. And I’m with Alison that having two girls to one guy is kind of a nice change:)

Though the idea of being draw to a dark place is really creepy, I have to agree. I like reading about it to find out why!

And yup, that is a great change for a love triangle.

I hate it when love interests fall in love so fast! But the book sounds great other than that. =)
