Three years ago, Sophie Mercer discovered that she was a witch. It's gotten her into a few scrapes. Her non-gifted mother has been as supportive as possible, consulting Sophie's estranged father—an elusive European warlock—only when necessary. But when Sophie attracts too much human attention for a prom-night spell gone horribly wrong, it's her dad who decides her punishment: exile to Hex Hall, an isolated reform school for wayward Prodigium, a.k.a. witches, faeries, and shapeshifters.

By the end of her first day among fellow freak-teens, Sophie has quite a scorecard: three powerful enemies who look like supermodels, a futile crush on a gorgeous warlock, a creepy tag-along ghost, and a new roommate who happens to be the most hated person and only vampire student on campus. Worse, Sophie soon learns that a mysterious predator has been attacking students, and her only friend is the number-one suspect.

As a series of blood-curdling mysteries starts to converge, Sophie prepares for the biggest threat of all: an ancient secret society determined to destroy all Prodigium, especially her.

This book is a great read. It had me laughing and seating at the edge of my seat. Sophia Mercer is not your everyday gal. She is witch, sent to Hex Hall for her punishment. There we meet a whole band of freaks. Sophia is not in control of her powers. She is constantly making her spells too weak or too strong. She meets three other witches, who are mean to the bone. She turns down their coven, making them her e

She befriends the only vamp in the school, who is the only person not mean to her in the first place. Jenna is loving and caring towards her. Archer is the warlock hottie of the school only dating the witches from the coven. He and Sofie are soon thrown together to do cellar duty due to their misbehaving.

As things get worse at Hex Hall, Sophia begins to learns secret of her past she never knew. She learns who her father really is, why everyone hates her, and the biggest secret? She learns who Archer really is??!! Dun, dun, dunnnnnnn! That was a total twist for me. I never saw that one coming. It does makes sense in the end.

This book was a great read. Very entertaining. There were some curse words, and a kissing scene. The book was awesome. I can’t wait for the next one to come out.

Happy Reading!

This sounds really good. I bought it when it first came out because I really liked the cover (Yes, I buy books for their covers haha) but believe it or not I still have not picked it up to see what it’s about. You just boosted it up my list.

Great review & I loved it, too! For me the Archer twist wasn’t surprise I expected that, but the Sophie twist at the end surprised me a lot! I can’t wait to read the sequel, especially to read more about Archer 🙂
