Something strange is happening to Krezi. She has a dangerously high fever her doctors can't explain, and objects keep bursting into flames around her—but the fire doesn't seem to hurt her at all. Krezi wants nothing more than to control her mysterious abilities. But what she doesn't know is that there are others like her out there . . . and in the wrong hands, this power could be deadly.

Robison Wells comes back with an amazing prequel to a series that is new and exciting. I read this in one sitting and I immediately wanted to read the series. I was excited to see where this would go. Going Dark is a great opening.

This story is about a girl named Krezi who has a secret that can harm people and the people she loves. She has to deal with hiding her secret but also learning how to control it. Throughout the story she has to deal with finding people she trusts as well as making a decision that can change her life.

I feel Krezi is scared and doesn’t know what to do with her life, now that she is living with her new power. I feel that throughout the short story she grows and learns that she needs to find out how to control her power even if it means leaving her family behind. I hope we learn more about Krezi throughout the series.

I cannot to read some more of this exciting and wonderful series. Robison Wells writes a thriller that will surely capture your mind. An amazing start.

I give this book 4 bites!
