With two Kiras on the loose, L asks Light to join the taskforce and pose as the real Kira in order to catch the copycat. L still suspects Light, and figures that this is the perfect excuse to get closer to his quarry. Light agrees to the plan in order to have free access to the taskforce resources. But when Light manages to contact the new Kira, he discovers that his rival is anything but as expected. Will Light escape from love unscathed?

Death Note has been this little escape from the novel world for me. It has become something that I can pick up and within a matter of hours I could finish the next volume. But I find myself at a point where when I finish I am captivated by what is happening and given that feeling to picking my next read up.

This one had a little ups and downs for me but not in a bad way. There were just parts where I felt myself slowing down more because I wanted to take in what was happening because I felt that there were certain scenes that just demanded the attention. In other words, the chapters flowed and I never once thought of putting it down.

Light is getting deeper and deeper in with the Death Note and now that another Kira has popped up the game of keeping his identity has become that much harder. I feel Light is too smart for his own self and I feel that he is really starting to lose himself, even though we are barely on the fourth installment. I feel that the responsibility, in lack of words that carrying the Death Note has on the user is starting to show more and more on the outside.

The second Kira really surprised me. I thought it would be a copycat that would somewhat be easy to find at first but she came off to be pretty smart. I am curious to see her role if she has one later on.

The ending was a shocker for me in the sense of this whole cat and mouse game between L and Kira. Overall, I am still going to plow through and keep seeing what lies in story for Kira or should I say Light.

Happy Reading!
