Happy Birthday To ME!!

Oct •  7 •  2014

Well ya’ll this is it. My last year in my twenties is gone. When I look back at my life and see what it has become I can say that I have been blessed. There have been many mistakes in my life no doubt, but those mistakes made me stronger and who I am today. Every year I like to look back and make a list of what I am thankful for.

1. I’M ALIVE AND HEALTHY! This is a major blessing. I know many others (whom I pray for) who are sick. Not only in their bodies but in they minds. And here I am, 30 years old and healthy. How awesome is that? I’ve lost weight all on my own and kept it off.

2. Family. Yes, its true I have an amazing family whom I would do anything for. They surround me with much love and take me for who I am. My husband is my high school sweetheart and have been married for almost 8 years! How many people can say they married their first boyfriend in high school? —-> This girl can!

3. Kids: I’m so utterly grateful to be a mom and have kids. They are a major blessings. My son is the best thing that has happened to me. He continues to amaze me and inspire me each and every day! And now with a second one on the way, I can’t wait to see what life brings next!

4. Job. I have a job. It’s not the best job nor one I like everyday. Actually I have a love/hate relationship about it. But it’s a job that pays the bills. It’s a job that is stable.

5. Home/Car/Food. I don’t have the best of everything but I make the best of everything that I’ve got. I could use a new car, and a new home but I’m content with what I have. I don’t want to be one of those people who want “more, more, more” but are never satisfied. I’m truly happy. Why? Cause home is where the heart is.

6. My Lord. If you know me then you know I love Jesus. I love God and I’m happy to have a relationship with him. Am I a perfect christian? Heck no. But I do my best to love others as Jesus loved me. I’m happy that I live in this country where I can pray, go to church, etc. I see on the news the hate, war, famine, going on and it breaks my heart.

7. Life. Life is so precious yet so short. I do my best to take in every moment. When I drop off my son at school, I give him a big hug and kiss. My husband, the same. Life can change in an instant and I’m happy that I’ve lived this long so far.

There you have it. All the things I’m grateful for. But there is one more thing I’m missing…READING! I adore that I can come home from work, kick back on the couch and read a good book.

Happy Birthday!!!! I’m so glad that life is going well for you. I know what you mean about some people never being happy with what they have and wanting MORE MORE MORE. I fall into that often myself and only recently have realized that I don’t need all that. I can deal with things less than perfect (not the nicest car, furniture, etc).
