Violet thought she’d made peace with her unique ability to sense the echoes of the dead and the imprints that cling to their killers…that is until she acquired an imprint of her own. Forced to carry a reminder of the horrible events of her kidnapping, Violet is more determined than ever to lead a normal life. However, the people who run the special investigative team Violet works for have no intention of letting her go.

When someone close to Violet becomes a suspect in a horrific murder, she finds herself pulled into a deadly hunt for a madman with an army of devoted followers. Violet has survived dangerous situations before, but she quickly discovers that protecting those closest to her is far more difficult than protecting herself.

Finally catching up on the series I can safely say that I loved this book! Very interesting and exciting, once I was in the book there was no going back.

The plot took a very interesting turn towards the past. After solving several crimes,Violet has stumbled onto some very interesting information regarding her family’s past as well as though who work around her. I really enjoyed this part of the story. Violet scourging the journals, sneaking around searching for answers…it all  makes me feel excited! Each chapter, Violet is  getting closer to answers, closer to the silence, and closer to exactly what is in the journals. The information that she finds is amazing and Violet is the perfect detective.

All the while for the search for answer, Violet is still solving crimes and searching for clues as well. I like this part of the story intertwines well. It doesn’t overload the reader, but takes the reader even deeper in the story that ever before.

The love interest is also done well. Let me say that while Violet is speaking her feelings out, I still feel as if the love interest is not solid enough. By that I mean, it could be either guy. I think Violet feels close to both guys. One being her best friend forever and other, letting her be herself without hiding it. I get it. Still, I’m anxious to see who exactly she will pick.

Dead Silence is a great continuation of the series. Thrilling with a nice enhancement from the past, I’m excited to see where the series will go next.  Fast-moving with the right amount of details, Dead Silence is impressive!

I give it 5 BITES!

Teaser quotes:

“But it’s Sunday,” she offered. “Mm-hmm…” he responded, his voice distracted as he leaned down and nuzzled the side of her neck.”

“And that’s when it started…the music. The music.”

“I don’t know what you are think your doing. But stay the hell away from my friend.”

I thought I had heard dead silence was the last book of the series? I hope I heard wrong!!!

For some reason I thought this was the last book! Clearly it’s not if the romance isn’t quite resolved yet. I wish there were no triangle in this series, but I can’t deny loving Rafe, I just want her to be happy with Jay:) I need to get caught up on this series, I still have to read The Last Echo and this one, can’t wait Savy!

This is actually the last in the series. Kim says she never says never, but this is meant to be the last. In the end she does show us what could happen with the romance (yeah, it was left kind of open). Lots of people feel this isn’t really the end though. Personally I’m really hoping for spin off with Rafe as the MC. I think that would be perfect!
Thanks so much for hosting a tour stop and sharing your thoughts!

5 stars for a book four is amazing! I’m glad you loved this one so much, Savy, it’s hard for a series to sustain interest/quality after a few installments.

Sad that this is it for now but I agree with you that the end of Dead Silence doesn’t feel like an ending. There could be more to come and I hope so!
