Joclyn is in hiding, hunted by the man she still desperately loves. Ryland is gone, his mind erased; no memory of Joclyn remains, but Joclyn’s heart desperately begs her to hold out hope. Meanwhile the black-eyed monster that possesses him attempts to kill her over and over again.

If it wasn’t for Ilyan, Joclyn would be dead by now.

Ilyan, the man who once stalked her, is now Joclyn’s protector, the only person she has left. He protects Joclyn from the men who seek to end her life, and all the while, she is haunted by dreams where Ryland begs her to break the bond between them.

Ilyan is there. Always there.

Ilyan trains and prepares her, teaching her everything she needs to know in the hope that one day she can avenge Ryland, if not protect herself from him.

And then, there is her father.

The man who has never been there is suddenly responsible for everything. And who he is has made Joclyn into something she never wanted to be:

The Siln.

Top Ten places Joclyn would love to visit (Or has visited)

My mom works too much so we never really traveled. I never really wanted to though, I was happy staying with Ryland. There were some places I wanted to go though…

1. Paris, France – Ryland has visited Paris several times, it sounds like a beautiful city.

2. Disney World – It just looks cool. I’ve never been on a roller coaster before, and I think I would like them.

3. I’ve always wanted to go to Italy – but now that Ilyan has dragged me there, I am not sure I love it as much as I thought I would.

4. Santa Fe, New Mexico was pretty amazing. I would like to go there again – but without tearing the city apart.

5. I really would like to see things, you know, like The Statue of Liberty and things like that. Where I grew up, all that was close by was the world’s largest ball of yarn or some nonsense like that.

6. Ryland brought me home some really amazing candy from London once, I would like to go there. I wanted to go more when Ryland would still be going to school there, you know… when he wasn’t trying to hunt me.

7. Isola Santa, Italy. It is beautiful there. Ilyan promised he would take me back when all this was over. That and his beach house in the south of France. I guess that should be number eight.

8. Ilyan’s beach house in France.

9. Japan – It just looks cool.

10. Prague, Czech Republic – It’s where Wyn was – It’s where I might still find her.

I love to travel too and would love to visit all those places! I remember when I went to DC I was just loving the history around me. And really, that’s just NEW history compared to Europe and the rest of the world!
